The Legendary Group ABBA Reunited After 35 Years Of Disbandment

The owner of the hit song “Happy New Year” announced the official reunion after 35 years away from the stage. 

The band’s statement said the members reunited to plan a virtual tour featuring digital avatars, and decided to go back into the studio which made global fans really surprised and excited.

Björn Ulvaeus has confirmed that ABBA will be releasing five new songs in 2021 after the coronavirus pandemic halted any reunion concert plans.

The group has already recorded 2 songs for this comeback. One of them is ‘I Still Have Faith In You’ which will be performed by the group on a special program produced by NBC and BBC. The show is scheduled to air in December.

Recently, four members Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad announced the launch of a new tour in the near future. However, the group will not appear directly on stage. Instead, the audience will review the group’s images from 1979-1981 via a modern digital system. Speaking of how to do this special tour, ABBA hopes fans can look back on their golden age.

ABBA are a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group’s name is an acronym of the first letters of their first names. They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1983. In 1974, ABBA was Sweden’s first winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song “Waterloo”, which in 2005 was chosen as the best song in the competition’s history as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the contest.

They are one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with record sales estimated to be between 150 million and over 380 million records worldwide.

In 1979, during the peak of their career, two members Björn Ulvaeus and Agnetha Fältskog announced their divorce. This had made a negative impact on ABBA’s performance activities.Then in 1981, the couple Benny Anderson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad also broke up after many years of sticking together. As a result,the band ABBA decided to disband in 1982.
